About the T-top
After six years, another limited run of T-top humbucker replicas is here
In 1967, Gibson Guitars introduced the "T-Top" pickup that replaced the Patent Applied For and "Patent Number" pickups of the late 50s and early 60s. These lasted until about 1980.The T-top humbucker differed in construction from it's predecessors mainly in that is used a different wire for its coils, being insulated with a new polyurethane insulation. This gave a quicker response to pick attack than the P.A.F. and a brighter overall tone. Using T-Top replica bobbins made of the same materials and the original wind patterns, Wolfetone has recreated the venerable T-top as closely as possible.
All T-Top pickups have an output of 7.5-7.8k. There is no differentiation between the neck and bridge pickups.
Wolfetone Pickups is not affiliated with Gibson Guitars.

I love these pickups!!! They are well balance md and can do anything from clean twangy country sounds to higher gain old school metal. They are perfect for the music I play and I may just have to get another set for my SG.

I’ve tried a lot of different pickups searching for the T-Top feel of my old departed Les Paul. These completely gained my respect! Marvelous upgrade. I highly recommend you give these a try. Fantastic customer service too! What can I say..Wolfe, you’ve made a new convert!

I have had a few real T Tops and probably like 10 or 12 modern clones and yours is the one that’s in my number one Les Paul bridge right now.. It just has something that I need to hear, just clarity and punch and like a honk and with a nice chimney top end..,Such a tasty recipe
